JBS

Following a successful project by Tippmann Group and JBS in Plainwell, Michigan, the JBS team had another building in need of a plant-attached distribution facility just outside of Phoenix, Arizona.

JBS asked Tippmann to evaluate the project and help determine the best way for them to handle this addition. The project once again would be attached to the manufacturing plant, however, this time it was directly attached, with no conveyor bridge.

Another significant change to the project was the way the automation components were managed and installed. Tippmann took over the design and management of the conveyor processes and handled it in a more efficient way, so as to expedite the completion of the project.

Tippmann also suggested that for this project, JBS would be better suited to utilize the QFR Zone® as opposed to the VRT Freezer that was used at the facility in Michigan. The energy and labor savings that would come with the addition of 4 QFR Zones® (160 pallet positions of blast capacity) helped solidify the decision to make that change.
