Tyson’s relationship with Tippmann Group includes being a customer of Interstate Warehousing, and they knew Tippmann Group understood the importance of good floors in a frozen/refrigerated warehouse environment.

When their freezer floor was heaving, they called Tippmann Group to look at it and determine what might need to be done. With the floor needing to be replaced, Tippmann also suggested that while the floor repair was in progress, QFR Zones® could be added to the freezer so they would be able to blast freeze their product on site faster and more efficiently, saving them money on the blast freezing process. That savings helped pay for the floor renovation and made the project more valuable to Tyson.

The end result was a 30,000 square foot freezer floor renovation, and the addition of 16 QFR Zones® and 576 pallet positions of blast freezing capacity. The facility was also upgraded with LED lighting to increase overall energy efficiency in the renovated area.
