Smithfield Foods - QFR Zone®

Smithfield Foods is the largest pork processor in the world, so freezing their product fast and efficiently is very important for both product quality and cost savings.

The QFR Zone® provided the perfect solution for their needs. Smithfield installed enough QFR Zones® to freeze more than 100 truck loads or 3.7 million pounds per day. The freezer is directly attached to the plant, so they have eliminated the additional costs and time associated with trucking their product to a third-party location to have it frozen. Smithfield was able to consolidate all of their freezing needs under their own roof, making the process significantly more efficient and cost-effective.
